Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday that he had yet to decide how long the starters would play in Thursday's game, but the third preseason game is typically the dress rehearsal for the starters and they could see action into the third quarter.

Undrafted rookie free agent Corey Clement looks to make the 53-man roster for the Eagles.

The Dolphins and Eagles will have plenty of familiarity with one another when they take the field on Thursday night, after two joint practices this week at the NovaCare Complex on Monday and Tuesday in preparation for this exhibition game.

Wentz and the Eagles enter Thursday night's game 1-1 on the preseason, after edging out the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 of the exhibition slate, 20-16.

Perhaps the most important item on the Eagles' checklist in Thursday night's game -- outside of avoiding any significant injuries -- is continuing to develop the chemistry and timing between Wentz and Jeffery.

Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler, who played with Jeffery for four season with the Chicago Bears, doesn't think it will take very long for the quarterback-receiver duo to get on the same page.

"You just throw it," Cutler said of Jeffery this week. "You just throw it out there and he'll make it right. You get him one-on-one, throw to his back-shoulder, put it over the top and it's hard to cover a guy like that. I'm sure Carson is one of those guys that has witnessed his ability to make special catches, and go up and come down with the ball."
